JD was born and raised in Sioux City Iowa by his parents John and Pam Dirks. He competed on the North High varsity swimming team for all four years of High School. JD met his future wife Jenny at a coming home party after his first year of military training.

In 1988 JD Dirks Served in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal E-4 during Operation Desert Shield. His position as a combat engineer created a great sense of awareness pushing him to gather information quickly and deliver upon it effectively. His movement would directly involve facilitating the movement and support of friendly forces while impeding and predicting those of the enemy.

JD was honorably discharged from the Marines in 1992 after which he moved back to his hometown in Iowa as a civilian.

JD is now a pastor and a father with six children. He lives in Maryville Missouri with his wife Jenny and sells real estate under the Twaddle Realty brokerage. His local, honest, and tactical background has made him the go-to agent for buyers and sellers alike across the state.
